Protected by Fraser Island, the beaches have calm clean waters which are excellent for all water activities, and small waves don't frighten the little children

From your accommodation you can stroll down to the beach, or to the harbour to see the boats, or take a tourist boat out to see the Marine park, or simply stroll down for a meal at any of the excellent restaurants and the Boat Club. 6 concrete boat launching ramps are in the Marina.

Hervey Bay is acknowledged as the BEST place in the WORLD to see whales, because of the calm, clear, warm waters which encourage the whales, particularly the mothers with new born calf, to stay and rest before their long trip back to the cool Arctic waters.

Some pods (groups of whales) will remain in the Bay for up to 2 weeks. Whalewatching season is from end of July to end of October each year. In 2007 over 7000 whales stayed in the Bay.

Whale watching in Australia began at Hervey Bay over 20 years ago with Brian and Jill Perry who are still taking people out in their boats "That's Awesome" and "Qucikcat II", and have a fount of knowledge about the whales. You won't get better whale watching anywhere else in Australia or the world. (see our links page).

  • Accommodation Rates:

  • Standard rate $840 per week, for up to 6 people , $120 per night minimum 3 nights.

  • That works out to $20 per person per night for 6, $30 pp/pn for 4, and $60 pp/pn for 2.

  • The dog is no extra charge. Up to 2 dogs max.

  • Extra for Easter and Christmas, weekly bookings only then. Xmas peak is 20th Dec to 20th January

  • Whale Watch season July to October also may be extra

Accommodation:       6   adults or children plus up to 2 dogs 

Payment Options:    Direct Deposit to our Account (saves us fees), or via Paypal's high security payment system with your Visa or Mastercard, cheque. 

Immediate $150 deposit,  balance 3 weeks before booked date (see conditions pages for further details).

Three weeks before your booked accommodation date, pay the balance.

Both are 3 bedroom, lowset, brick home, air conditioned, fans and fully equipped with bed linen & towels, all kitchen utensils, refrigerator, microwave, electric stove, washing machine & drying area, BBQ & undercover parking, TV, video, dvd , High Chair, portable cot. (Click here for photos) Non smoking inside but nice smoking area provided outside under cover. 

Accommodation Beds:

Bedding: 1 x Queen ; 1 x Double ; 2 x singles ;  extra trampoline bed, 1 porta cot,  2 dog trampoline beds.

Accommodation is Situated

It is 350 - 400 metres from the Boat Club, Marina, Harbour, Boat Launching Ramps, Fraser Island Barge and Ferry terminal, Whale Watch Boat Terminals, restaurants, shops, and beaches. It is also only 5 min from Urangan Central shopping centre which accommodates Woolworths, Newsagency, Chemist, Health Food Shop, Video shop, ATMs, Heritage mini branch, bottle shop, Brumbys, hairdresser, Post Office.

Hervey Bay major shopping chains at Pialba include Target, Big W, Bunnings, Harvey Norman, Aldi, The Warehouse.

Self Contained Accommodation Means:

We supply the bedding, cooking facilities, crockery etc you supply the "useables" such as food, drink, tissues.
